[Breaking News]: One Nigerian Onboard Ethiopian Airlines That Crashed Shortly After Take Off

An Ethiopian Airlines plane from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to Nairobi, Kenya, crashed shortly after takeoff on Sunday morning. All 157 people on board the flight have died, the airline says.

According to CNN The dead were of 32 different nationalities, including eight Americans and one Nigerian.

There is no suggestion yet as to what may have caused the disaster but pilot reported difficulties and asked to turn back, airline CEO, Tewolde GebreMariam  says. He was given clearance to turn back.

A routine maintenance check didn’t reveal any problems, he said. GebreMariam said they have not yet determined the cause of the crash.

“As I said, it is a brand new airplane with no technical remarks, flown by a senior pilot and there is no cause that we can attribute at this time.”

The victims are of 32 different nationalities, an airline spokeswoman says, including:

This is the second Boeing 737 MAX 8 crash in less that six months. Lion Air flight went down over the Java Sea in late October, killing all 189 people on board

Julian Assange Being taken away by the police

Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange has been arrested at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

The 47-year-old Ecuadorian-Australian national was initially taken to a central London police station after his arrest before appearing in court. He was found guilty of failing to surrender to the court.

He faces US federal conspiracy charges related to one of the largest ever leaks of government secrets and up to five years in US prison if convicted on the charges of conspiracy to commit computer intrusion.

Assange has taken refuge at the embassy since 2012.

The UK will decide whether to extradite Assange, in response to allegations by the Department for Justice that he conspired with former US intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning to download classified databases.

UAE Suspends Three-month Tourist Visa to Nigerians




The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has suspended the issuance of three months visas to Nigerian passport holders.

A travels and tours firm, Afric Holidays, announced this in a terse statement through its Instagram page Wednesday.

The statement read, “Nigerian Passport holders are no longer eligible to three months UAE Tourist Visa.
“Nigerian Passport holders are now restricted to one month, 96 hours and 48 hours UAE Tourist Visas till further notice.”

The Suspects

This is coming two days after five Nigerians were arrested for robbing a Bureau de Change operator of Dh2.3 million (N225.4 million) in Sharjai, Dubai.

The suspects were identified as Chimuanya Emmanuel Ozoh, Benjamin Nwachukwu Ajah, Kingsley Ikenna Ngoka, Tochukwu Leonard Alisi and Chile Micah Ndunagu. They stormed the place injuring two employees.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Nigeria’s President on Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, had condemned the act of five Nigerians.

She described the action of the Nigerians in a foreign land as despicable and shameful as it was not in accordance with good character of Nigerians.

Dabiri-Erewa also advised embassies to screen applicants for visa and ensure that they were of good character.

Rapper Nipsey Hussle Shot Dead in Los Angeles. See Video of Suspect Bragging on IG After The Shooting




Grammy-nominated rapper Nipsey Hussle has been killed. He was shot dead outside his clothing store in Los Angeles.

The 33 year-old rapper  whose real name is Ermias Ashgedom was shot multiple times in the parking lot at Marathon Clothing on West Slauson Avenue in South Los Angeles at about 3:25 p.m. and he was pronounced dead at a hospital. Two other  men were also shot and they are receiving medical treatment.

Hussle’s last tweet

In 2010, Hussle founded the record label All Money In,. Hussle wassaid to be part of  Rolling Sixty Crips, a national street gang that was founded in Los Angeles in the mid-1970s.
